Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts a National Entrance Test (NET) exam known as TISSNET. The exam is conducted for all Masters programmes offered in TISS campuses at Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati, IMHST Chennai, MHAT Calicut and G-SET Ranchi.TISS-NET is a computer-based entrance exam. The entrance test consists of objective questions related to Social Sensitivity, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability and Knowledge on Contemporary issues.

The application form of TISSNET 2018 will be available from the first week of October 2017. Candidates can apply for a maximum of three courses across any of the two campuses using a single application form. TISNET 2018 application forms with invalid documents may also get canceled. Those who do not have access to the internet or reside in a remote area can send their request to TISS Mumbai for the printed application form.
How to Apply Offline mode – To get a printed copy of the application form, candidates can send request by Speed Post along with the application fee to Assistant Registrar (Academic), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar, Mumbai 400088.
***However, candidates of SC/ST/OBC categories will also require to upload income certificate issued by appropriate authority. Salary slips, Pension slips and certificate issued by the community will not be considered.
The cutoff for TISSNET is the minimum marks required to qualify the entrance exam. On the basis of cutoff, candidates will be selected for the next round of selection procedure – GD & PI. Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, decides the cutoff marks for TISSNET. However, the TISSNET 2018 cutoff will be announced category-wise.
Candidates who clear the written test will be appearing for GD-PI rounds. Different stages of the selection procedure carry different weightage.
